STEPHENVILLE
The Stephenville HS Honeybees (16-11, 1-0) kicked off District 6, 4A play on Friday with a win over the Mineral Wells Rams (11-12, 0-1) in three sets. The first set was close, 25-20. The second, 25-16, and third, 25-18, sets allowed the Bees to pull away from Mineral Wells.
Tuesday, Oct. 1, Stephenville travels to Graham to face the Lady Blues (19-9, 0-1) for another district road match. Games start at 5:30 p.m. in Graham HS Gym.
HICO
The Hico Lady Tigers (4-11) defeated the Evant Lady Elks (21-6) in a close match-up on Friday evening with Hico winning, 3-2. The Lady Tigers will travel to Hamilton on Tuesday, Oct. 1, to face the Lady Bulldogs (14-15, 1-0) at 5:30 p.m.
DUBLIN
The Dublin Lady Lions (5-11, 0-5) have had a rough go of it in District 8, 3A play this year. On Friday, they lost to Breckenridge (4-12, 3-2) in three sets. They are looking to break the streak on Tuesday as they face the Eastland Lady Mavs (4-12, 3-2) in Eastland HS Gym at 5:30 p.m.
LINGLEVILLE
The Lingleville Lady Cardinals (11-20, 0-1) will host the Three Way Lady Braves (5-11) on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. in the Lingleville HS Gym. The Lady Cards are coming off a win against the Strawn Lady Greyhounds (10-10) on Friday, September 27, and are looking to continue the win streak.
BLUFF DALE
The Bluff Dale Lady Bobcats (19-7-4) defeated the Jonesboro Lady Eagles (3-6) in five sets on Friday, September 27. The Lady ‘Cats are ranked No. 20 by the Texas Girls’ Coaches Association and have a bye on Tuesday, Oct. 1, before facing the Lipan Lady Indians (9-8) at home on Friday, Oct. 4, at 5 p.m. in the Bluff Dale HS Gym.
THREE WAY
The Three Way Lady Braves (5-11) lost in three sets to a tough Rising Star team on Friday evening. Now the Lady Braves are headed across the county to face the Lingleville Lady Cardinals (11-20, 0-1) on Tuesday, Oct. 1, at 5:30 p.m. and hoping to get another win before district play starts.
