(June 2, 1971 – October 15, 2024)
Kathy June Kash-Bryant, a woman of boundless spirit and love, left this world on October 15, 2024, leaving behind a mark on all who knew her. Born on June 2, 1971, in Manitoba, Canada, Kathy’s life was a testament to joy, resilience, and the power of connection. She was the beloved daughter of Sam Lynden Kash and WillAnn Kash, both of whom preceded her in death, along with her cherished grandparents Alexander and Grace Kash, and Bodie and Marie Lawrence.
Kathy was a radiant soul who knew how to fill a room with laughter. Her humor and warmth were a gift to everyone she encountered. She had an infectious love for life, whether she was indulging her love for food—jalapeños especially—or cheering on her Texas Longhorns, never missing a game. Her heart overflowed with love, which she poured generously into her relationships. Kathy was adored by her late husband, Rick Bryant, who loved her in a way that most women can only dream of.
A mother, Kathy is survived by her children Lakota Briseño (and husband Joseph Briseño), Sierra Dawn Kash, Anna Mikael Kash, Jasmine Gary, and Jacob Gehisen. She was also a proud grandmother to six beautiful grandchildren.
Kathy’s kindness extended to all creatures, most especially her spoiled and much-loved cat, whom she doted on with the same care and fuss as she did her family & friends. She was a sister, a friend, and a confidante. Kathy is survived by her brothers Tracy Lynn Kash (and wife Tammy) and Kevin Sean (Peanut) Kash, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who treasured her deeply. She was the best Auntie Soul to Magnolia, a role she cherished, and one for which she will always be remembered.
Her heart was vast, her love unconditional, and her presence irreplaceable. Though her earthly journey has come to an end, the love and laughter she gave so freely will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. Kathy June Kash-Bryant will be profoundly missed by all whose lives she touched.
Go give heaven some hell, Soul friend—you’ve earned your wings.
A celebration of her life will be held, at a later date, in her honor, where we will gather not to mourn, but to remember her joy, her spirit, and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind.
