Parker. On October 17, 1959, Don married the love of his life Jeannette Fabre. From 1957 to
1963 Don served his country in the U. S. Marine Corps as a marksman instructor and expert. In
1967 Don was called to ministry and in 1969 he graduated from the Sunset School of Preaching.
Over a number of years, Don continued his education with Alabama Christian College and
Abilene Christian University and was licensed as a marriage and family therapist and earned a
doctoral degree in ministry. As a result of his heart and education he and Jeannette served as
missionaries in Puerto Rico from 1971 to 1974 and afterwards were in service to numerous
churches in the southeast United States and in the Dallas area. In 1989, they were called to
Stephenville in service to children at Foster’s Home. From 2002 to 2022, in partnership with
Jeannette, Don served as a senior minister at Graham Street Church of Christ.
Don loved the church and was an avid Bible reader and a Bible scholar with a love for studying
the scriptures in the Greek language. Not only was Don a Godly servant to his communities, but
he has also been a spiritual pillar and guide in his immediate family and extended families. He
was gifted with a sense of humor that he enjoyed using in work and life with children.
Don is survived by his wife, Jeanette; son, Clint and his wife Dawn, and grandson, Forest; Don’s
daughter, Maleah and her husband Bobby Fryar, grandson, Robby, and great grandchildren,
Sadie, Savannah, and Jude; and granddaughters, Kathrine and Kami; brothers,

nephews.
Besides his parents, Don was preceded in death by a brother, Will Parker and sister-in-law
Margaret Ann; and his sister, Barbara Ann Hutchison.
The Parker family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to Foster’s
Home for Children, or the charity of the donor’s choice.
