(November 19, 1956 – April 18, 2025)
Edd E. LeFevre passed away surrounded by his loving family on Friday, April 18th, 2025, in Stephenville, Texas. He was born on November 19, 1956, in Haskell, Texas to Bud and Lois LeFevre.
Edd was raised in Rochester, Texas, before moving to Hico in the 8th grade. He loved playing football, basketball, running track, participating in One-Act Play, as well as serving as Class President all four years of high school as a Hico Tiger. Edd always had a way with kids, but especially loved being a dad to Amy and Chance, whether he was coaching their baseball team or introducing them to musical greats like BJ Thomas and Three Dog Night. Edd was known as the fun uncle, which can be confirmed by his nieces’ and nephews’ countless stories involving adventures with Uncle Edd. He was a skilled carpenter and welder who took a lot of pride in his work. But the title he seemed to relish most was that of Poppa Edd. Most importantly, Edd was a believer, having been saved and baptized at the First Baptist Church of Hico by Brother Bill Schibler.
Edd is survived by his daughter Amy (Cody) Mahan of Stephenville, Texas and son Chance (Anna) LeFevre of Springtown, Texas; grandchildren Jake, Jarrett, Tripp, Stetson, and Macey; his brothers, Steve LeFevre and Bob LeFevre; sister, Beverly Mullen; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Edd is preceded in death by his father and mother; sister, Jeanette (Don) Adkins; brother, Olson (Marjorie) LeFevre; and niece, Tammy LeFevre.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to the kind nurses and staff at Lone Star Rehabilitation and Wellness Center, especially Cheryl, Terry, and Brady, as well as to Haley, Tiffany, LeAnn, and Kory with CCS Hospice.
A celebration of his life will be held Wednesday at 2pm at the First Baptist Church of Hico with a private graveside service to follow.
