Services for Darrell A. Kendall, 82, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 28, 2025, at the Lacy Funeral Home Chapel with Father Matthew Sanka officiating. Burial will be at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday April 29, 2025, with full military honors. Visitation will be held an hour prior to his service, 1:00 p.m., Monday, April 28, 2025, at Lacy Funeral Home Chapel.
Darrell was born in Butte, Montana, on February 10, 1943, to John Ethan Kendall and Ruby Arlene Kendall. He married Genevieve Marie “Jennie” Kendall on May 2, 1963, in Rapid City, SD. She preceded him in death on March 24, 2018. He was a Vietnam Air Force veteran and a computer programmer.
Darrell was a member of St. Brendan’s Catholic Church. He loved to play chess and golf in his free time, and watching old western films; but most importantly, he loved spending time with his family.
Survivors include his son, John M. Kendall and wife Carolyn of Stephenville, Texas; siblings, John S. Kendall and wife Joy in Drummond, Montana, and Cathy Bartholomew and husband Mike of Butte, Montana; grandchildren, Chase Reeves and wife Katherine of Conroe, Texas, Spencer Reeves and wife Amy of College Station, Texas, and Tanner Kendall and wife Sarah of Austin, Texas; and four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jennie Kendall, and siblings, Edwin Kendall, Arthur Kendall, and Lorene Kendall Clute.
