Wayne Graham was born January 6, 1935, in Erath County to Cecil C. Graham and Carrie Mae Albright Graham. He attended Duffau, Seldon, and Johnsville Schools and Stephenville High School. Wayne married Shirley J. Sitton on December 31, 1953.
Wayne served in the US Army from 1954 to 1956, including six months in Germany. After his service, he attended Odessa Junior College in Odessa, Texas.
Wayne worked for Kenneth E. Esmond and Associates (Later Freese, Nichols and Esmond, Civil Engineers from 1956 to 1971. At that time, he left to start Wayne Graham Land Surveying in Stephenville, to July 2014.
Wayne is survived by his children, Darrel Wayne Graham and wife Toni, Janice Lynn Graham McLearen, Philip Layne Graham and wife Tracy; grandchildren, Amanda Jo Graham and husband Ron Zenter, Misty Michelle McLearen Conner, Megan Graham Gillian and husband Benjamin, Tiffany Lynn Harris and husband Danny, Crystal Mae McLearen, Brittany Jean Graham Villars and husband Will, Jo Anna Graham, and Christopher Graham; eleven great-grandkids; sister, Viva Ditmore, sister-in-law, Carole Ann Graham Creech and Brittany’s mom, Karen Ruth Gentzel.
Wayne is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Shirley; brother, Windle D. Graham; son-in-law, Kerry McLearen; and brother-in-law, Kenneth Ditmore.
Service Information
Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. on Sunday, April 27, at the Stephenville Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 28, in the East Memorial Cemetery in Stephenville.
