Tarleton State’s Frost Posts 2.7 Breakaway Time Wednesday at CNFR

STEPHENVILLE — Tarleton State University breakaway ropers took center stage in third go-round action Wednesday at the College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR) in Casper, Wyo.

Jacelyn Frost, the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association Southwest Region 2024-25 breakaway champion, tied for seventh Wednesday night with her 2.7-second time. Teammate Jordan Driver, currently second in the CNFR all-around competition, missed her calf Wednesday for no score.

Breakaway roper Kaylie Garza will make her third go-round run Thursday night, as will saddle bronc riders Waitley Sharon and Coleman Shallbetter.

The CNFR continues the rest of the week, highlighted by Saturday’s championship finals.
