August 22, 1950 ~ April 13, 2026 (age 75)
Dr. Larry Bragg passed away on April 13, 2026, at his home in Dublin, Texas, surrounded by the legacy of a life defined by service, dedication, and deep love for his family.
Larry was a proud graduate of Texas A&M University, Class of 1972, where he was a member of the Corps of Cadets—an experience that helped shape his lifelong discipline, integrity, and commitment to others. He went on to attend medical school in San Antonio, completing his internship and residency at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso.
Following the completion of his medical training, Larry honorably served his country in the United States Army. Rising to the rank of Major, he served as a surgeon with Delta Force—an extraordinary role that reflected both his exceptional skill and unwavering courage. His time in service was marked by discipline, sacrifice, and a deep commitment to those he served alongside. Larry carried that same sense of duty into his civilian medical career.
Larry was, above all, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. (PawPaw). He shared more than 50 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Cynthia Bragg—a partnership built on love, loyalty, and unwavering support. Together, they built a family that was the center of his world. Larry coached youth soccer for many years for his children as they were growing up and had the privilege of influencing many young lives. He was an incredible skier, fisherman and hunter. He valued the time and trips he got to spend doing these things with Cindy and the kids.
He is survived by his loving wife, Cynthia Bragg; his daughter, Amy Goodwin and her husband Jeff Goodwin along with their children Landrey Goodwin and Logan Goodwin, Kelly Kennedy and her husband William Kennedy, and their children Dylan Elliott, Olivia Elliott, Kline Kennedy, and Ruger Kennedy; and Ashley Gladden and her children Graham Gladden, Jackson Gladden, and Samantha Gladden.
Outside of medicine, Larry found great joy in farm and ranch life and in the outdoors. He was an incredible gardener, with a green thumb especially for tomato plants. Whether working the land or spending time with family, he valued the simple, meaningful moments that defined a well-lived life. He was an incredibly hard-working man whose quiet strength, humility, integrity and kindness left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Dr. Bragg’s life was one of purpose—dedicated to his profession, his hobbies and most importantly, his family. He was the smartest man we know. His incredible dry sense of humor was appreciated by so many and his tricks and pranks will be laughed at and discussed forever. His legacy will live on in the lives he touched, the family he cherished, and the example he set.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
