(September 10, 1936 – May 18, 2026)
Maria Nicolasa Mejia Botello, lovingly known as “Nico,” was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose greatest joy in life was caring for her family. She had a heart full of love and found happiness in cooking and making sure everyone around her was fed. To her, sharing food was more than a meal — it was her way of bringing family together and showing love to those she cared about most. Nothing made her happier than gathering loved ones around the table and creating memories filled with warmth, laughter, and love.
Maria was preceded in death by her spouse, Tomas Botello, and her son, Rogelio Botello.
She is survived by her children: Pablo Botello and spouse Andrea Martinez, Zita Gonzalez and spouse Rufino Gonzalez, Gil Botello and spouse Maria Saldana, Ventura Botello and spouse Rafaela Reyes Botello, Eudocio Botello and spouse Liliana Trejo Botello, Zoila Olguin and spouse Eduardo Olguin, Guillermina Botello and spouse Felipe Guerrero, Efrain Botello and spouse Lucino Botello, Julia Gutierrez and spouse Roberto Gutierrez, Eriberta Yanez and spouse Manuel Yanez, and Eleuteria Botello.
Maria was a homemaker who dedicated her life to her family and home. She will be remembered for her kindness, strength, caring spirit, and the unconditional love she shared with everyone around her. Her presence will be deeply missed, but the memories she created and the love she gave will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
