Joyce Cernosek, 87, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2026, leaving behind a legacy
of compassion, dedication, and love for her family.
Born on January 24, 1939, Joyce grew up with a strong work ethic and a passion for
helping others. She graduated from Hermiston High School in Hermiston, Oregon, in
1956. Determined to pursue a career in healthcare, she achieved her lifelong dream of
becoming a nurse. Through hard work and perseverance, she continued her education
and earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, a milestone that reflected her
commitment to both learning and serving others.
Throughout her nursing career, Joyce touched countless lives with her kindness,
professionalism, and unwavering compassion. She found great fulfillment in caring for
others and was deeply respected by those who worked alongside her and the many
patients she served.
Joyce was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Cernosek, with whom
she shared many years of love, partnership, and cherished memories.
Joyce is survived by her children, Valerie Cernosek, Scott Cernosek (Kledsai), Daniel
Cernosek and Catherine (Dave) Cernosek-Benton. She also leaves behind eight
beloved grandchildren and nine treasured great-grandchildren, all of whom were a
constant source of pride and joy in her life.
She will be greatly missed and forever remembered
