Linda Gail McLean, 78, of Stephenville, Texas, went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in Stephenville, Texas, on July 21, 2026. Born on October 3, 1947, to John and Shirley Eib in St. Louis, Missouri, Linda was the middle child with 6 sisters and 2 brothers. She then moved to California where she spent most of her young life. At 23 years old, she worked as a waitress at a coffee shop in Norwalk, California, where she met the love of her life Alben McLean. They married on May 18, 1972, and were married for 54 wonderful years. Together they shared 5 children and later moved to Stephenville, Texas, where they continued to grow their family. Linda, a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, was an avid member of Greens Creek Baptist Church where she had many friends. Outside of her career at Tarleton State University for 21 years, Linda enjoyed shopping, cruising, tending to her flowers, and collecting MANY trinkets. However, the thing she enjoyed most was being a grandmother and spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids. She will be greatly missed but forever remembered for her sense of humor and loving spirit. Linda is survived by: Her husband, Alben McLean; Brother: Howard Raymo and wife, Marty; Children: Ross McLean and wife, Sonja, Davey McLean, Elizabeth Espinoza and husband, Jose, Tammy Taylor and husband, David, and Shirley Ferguson. Grandchildren: Josh Cole and wife, Sarah, Seth McLean, Kerstin Johnson and husband, Ray, Sara McLean, Payton Brown and husband, Tyelir, Paige Moore and husband, Caleb, Aaron, Jose, and Crystal. Linda is also survived by 8 great-grandkids, many nieces, nephews, a loving church family, and many friends. Linda was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Carol, Arlene, Pat, Joyce, David, Gladys, and Sandy. Visitation to be held Thursday, July 23, 2026, at Lacy Funeral Home from 5 pm-7 pm. Services will be held Friday, July 24, 2026, at Lacy Funeral Home at 2 pm followed by graveside at Garden of Memories.
