(March 7, 2015) — Freshman Morgan Diciccio was 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI while Emily Miller was 2-for-3 with a double and scored twice to lead Stephenville in a 5-2 victory over 5A Saginaw Chisholm Trail in tournament play in Brock Friday.
The Honeybees are back on the diamond Saturday, facing a pair of 3A foes – state power Brock and a Dublin team they swatted 11-1 earlier this week.

Diciccio and Miller accounted for four of Stephenville’s seven hits, and Miller had the only base hit of the game for the Bees, who scored a run in each of the first three innings to lead the whole way. Chisholm Trail scored both its runs in the third inning of the six inning pool game, but Stephenville responded with two in the bottom of the sixth before time expired.
While Chisholm Trail was plagued by three errors, Stephenville played error free defense in support of freshman pitcher Julia Flores. She went all six innings in the circle, yielding six hits and two walks while striking out six.
