STEPHENVILLE (March 8, 2015) — March Madness returns to Stephenville next weekend, and game times are now set for the men’s basketball South Central Region Championship at Wisdom Gym.
Top-seed Tarleton State plays at 6 p.m. Saturday, in the opening game of the evening session. The quarterfinal round begins with two-time reigning regional champ and No. 2-seed Metropolitan State-Denver battling Midwestern State. The second game of the opening session is between No. 3 Texas A&M-Commerce and No. 6 Angelo State and tips off at 2:30 p.m. The nightcap of the evening session features No. 4 Colorado-Colorado Springs against No. 5 Colorado School of Mines.

The semifinal games are at 5 and 7:30 p.m. Sunday with the final to follow at 7 p.m. Tuesday. The tournament champion advances to the Division II Elite Eight in Evansville, Indiana.
The first round features some intriguing match-ups, all rematches in some form. Metro State hosted the last two regionals and eliminated Midwestern from both. A&M-Commerce defeated Angelo State in the Lone Star Conference Championship final Saturday evening, Colorado Springs and Colorado Mines are meeting for the third time this season and Tarleton defeated St. Mary’s early in the year.

Tickets are $25 for all sessions for adults, $10 for students. Individual sessions (two on Saturday, one on Sunday and Tuesday) are $7 for adults and $3 for students. Tickets must be purchased for all children ages 2 and up.
Season ticket holders with reserved seats (with purple chair backs) have until 5 p.m. Tuesday to purchase their same seats for the regional tournament. Any unclaimed seats go on sale to the general public at 8 a.m. Wednesday.
The Tarleton ticket office is in the lobby of Wisdom Gym.
