I am seventeen years old and a senior at SHS. I love reading, writing, and scrapbooking in my free time. I am senior editor of the yearbook, vice president of NHS, a Stingerette, and president of En Croix. I also compete in UIL Ready Writing, News Writing, and Editorial Writing. After graduation, I plan on attending Tarleton State and double-majoring in English and Spanish.

When people ask what I bring to the yearbook team this year, my favorite response is, “The Y chromosome.”  Being I am the only male in the group.  My favorite part of journalism has to be the photography.  I love doing stories for sports like basketball, football, and soccer, seeing as my brothers are in all of them!  Five brothers and one baby sister keep me busy as I’m either going to the robotics meet to cheer on one, or the football game to cheer the other then the soccer game to cheer on the next! In point, lots of cheering and photos.  All those brothers are a result of where I live, the Foster’s Home. But what I think journalism has taught me is it’s always good to capture the good memories and remember them joyfully, but also to capture the bad moments and remember to learn from them so next time it will be the other way around.
