STEPHENVILLE (May 1, 2015) — At least three were transported to hospitals in a two-vehicle accident on FM 914 Friday afternoon at approximately 1:30 p.m. Traffic was blocked coming and going from Heritage Hills Estates, as well as north and south on FM 914 while first responders worked to free people from the vehicles.
According to the Texas DPS officer on scene, a car lost control on the gravel as it entered the s-curve near the entrance to Heritage Hills. In attempting to correct, the car collided an oncoming pickup. First responders from Erath County Fire and Rescue, Erath County EMS, Cross Timbers First Responders and Erath County Sheriff’s Office called for assistance from Stephenville EMS and to assist in directing traffic around the crash.

AirEvac out of Granbury was also called to transport a patient from the scene. The helicopter took one patient to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, while Erath County EMS and Stephenville EMS each took a patient to Texas Health Harris Methodist Stephenville.
Crews worked quickly and FM 914 was opened up to through traffic just before 3 p.m.
