ERATH COUNTY (November 3, 2015) — A major accident just south of Dublin took the life of Tarah Jo Ricklin, 19 of Temple and Comanche. Ricklin was driving a red Ford Mustang when she was involved in a major accident near the new Dublin Loop on Monday.

According to DPS reports, the Mustang was hit in the driver’s side door by an 18-wheeler hauling a box trailer full of feed. DPS Sr. Trooper Dub Gilliam said the truck was traveling north on US Highway 67 when the Mustang came off Business US 67, failing to yield to the right-of-way at the intersection, and was struck.

Gilliam reported the driver of the truck, Steven Grayson, 48 of Comanche, was not injured, but Ricklin had to be extracted from the vehicle and was taken to Scott and White Hospital in Temple where she underwent emergency surgery.

Family members were reporting Ricklin passed away sometime during the night and a GoFundMe account has been set up to help cover funeral expenses. Visit that page here: https://www.gofundme.com/778acf9s
