(January 9, 2016) — No. 9 Tarleton State is coming off arguably its most complete performance of the season in a 85-67 thrashing of No. 4 Angelo State, in which the Texans led by as many as 25 before calling off the dogs.
The Texans (12-2, 2-0) take aim at their fourth straight win at A&M-Kingsville (8-5, 0-1) at 8 tonight, and if they are successful it could very well set up their fifth all top 10 showdown the last two seasons when they visit No. 6 Midwestern State next Wednesday.

Tarleton has won four straight and 12 of 13 against the Javelinas, who are much improved in their second season under alumnus and head coach Johnny Estep.
Despite coming off an ugly 92-68 loss at A&M-Commerce, the Javelinas have already equaled last season’s win total.
