THE GAMES
Fresh off a Saturday doubleheader sweep of Angelo State, Tarleton will look to keep the momentum rolling in a Tuesday afternoon twin bill with St. Edward’s at 1 p.m. Tuesday’s contests are makeup games that were originally scheduled for March 12, but were cancelled due to weather in Stephenville.
FOLLOW THE ACTION
The game will be live streamed free of charge. However, there will not be an audio feed associated with it. It will be video only and live stats are also available.
THE TEXANNS
Tarleton is 19-18 on the season and 4-12 in Lone Star Conference action and is coming off a doubleheader sweep of Angelo State last Saturday. The TexAnns have also won four of their last six games since last Tuesday’s doubleheader road sweep of Texas-Permian Basin in Odessa. Tarleton is led from the pitching circle by Haley Freyman with a 2.90 ERA in an LSC-leading 157.0 innings of work while Nyka Wood paces the offense with a .345 batting averaging in 113 at bats this season.

THE OPPONENT
The Hilltoppers enter this doubleheader with a record of 17-15 and a 7-5 record in Heartland Conference action. St. Edward’s has lost three of its last four games with the only win coming in a 1-0 no-hitter thrown by Lauren Slatten against St. Mary’s last Wednesday. Slatten is the team leader in the circle with a 1.97 ERA in 124.1 innings of work while Alex Mayfield leads the offense with a .373 average.
THE SERIES
Tarleton and St. Edward’s have one of the oldest rivalries in TexAnn Softball history, which dates back to Tarleton’s inaugural season of softball in 1996. Tarleton trails the all-time series 20-26 and won their last meeting 6-4 in eight innings in San Antonio on February 5 this season.
LAST TIME OUT
Tarleton took care of Angelo State in both games of Saturday’s series-ending doubleheader, taking the first game 5-4 and the second game 4-3. With two outs in a tie game in the bottom of the seventh, Savannah Stech stepped to the plate and, with ice in her veins, delivered a walk-off single into left field to score Katelyn Conlee and put Tarleton in the win column 5-4 over Angelo State. A three-run first inning and a solo home run from Rebeka Allen in the fourth were all the run support Shelby Hedrick needed as she tossed her second complete-game win in her last three outings to cap off the sweep of Angelo State.
UP NEXT FOR TARLETON
The TexAnns will hit the road for four games in Commerce against the Lions on Friday and Saturday. It will be the first road series ever for the TexAnns against the Lions in Commerce, since Commerce started the program last season.
