INTERMENT: Lower Greens Creek Cemetery.
VISITATION: 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Monday, May 23rd at Harrell Funeral Home.
Laura Roelien Coates was born on July 22, 1930 in Walnut Springs, Texas. She went to be with her LORD on May 19, 2016 at the age of 85 years, 9 months and 27 days. She was the daughter of Oscar Walter Kendall and Ina Lee (Addison) Kendall. She was united in marriage to William David Coates on June 1, 1947 in Refugio, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband on January 12, 2006.
Laura is survived by her sons & daughter-in-law – David Coates of Houston, Texas and Tommy & Saundra Coates of Dublin, Texas; her 6 grandchildren – John Coates, Rashell Zerbe, Laura Coates, Vanessa Coates, Matalie Coates and Jacob McWright; her 6 great-grandchildren – Katherine, Kristen, Eva, Angelo, Ivie Lyn and Kazia; and a host of other relatives and many friends who will miss her dearly.
Laura was an accountant for Citris Association in Edinburg, Texas before her retirement and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Dublin, Texas.
