Stephenville, Hico, De Leon still alive in volleyball playoffs

STEPHENVILLE (November 2, 2016) — Three local volleyball teams remain alive in the state playoffs as Stephenville won Tuesday and Hico and De Leon each had first-round byes.

Stephenville swept Fort Worth Castleberry, 25-19, 25-11, 25-19, at Aledo High School Tuesday. Dublin was eliminated by Clyde, 25-11, 25-19, 25-15, at Brownwood Tuesday, and Lingleville bowed out in a 25-13, 25-8, 25-2 loss to Bronte on Monday at Early.

Here is a look at the area-round schedule:

Stephenville vs. Abilene Wylie
6:30 p.m. Thursday at Eastland High School

Hico vs. Windthorst
6:30 p.m. Thursday at Breckenridge High School

De Leon vs. Hawley
