ERATH COUNTY (December 24, 2016) – The members of First Christian Church and Oakdale United Methodist Church (both of Stephenville) joined forces to present a Christmas Eve Worship Service for the residents of Mulberry Manor Nursing Home. The service began at 10:30 a.m. so it would be a time when most of the residents would be awake. The service was led by Pastor Shannon Grubbs of First Christian Church and Reverend Kory Koch of Oakdale United Methodist Church. The service included prayers, singing, communion and scripture readings. The youth from the Oakdale United Methodist Church stood in costume as the scriptures were read. Refreshments were served at the conclusion of the service. It appeared that the church members and guests enjoyed the service almost as much as the residents.
