The capitol agenda includes attendance at legislative sessions to be recognized by State Representative J.D. Sheffield and Senator Craig Estes. Subsequent group meetings with the Texas Water Development Board, Economic Development and Tourism and Texas Department of Agriculture, as well as member office visits.

The bus will depart from Stephenville at 5:45 a.m. and is expected to return at 6:30 p.m. Prospective attendees can register online

Other agenda items include discussion on a potential incentive policy for new and existing businesses, which could be financial or include things like expedited planning and permitting processes.

Hubbard said the incentives are used to promote tax base diversification, job creation or business retention and expansion.

The board will also consider the relocation of the SEDA office from its current downtown location that includes a $1,200 monthly rental agreement to Clark Field Municipal Airport where a lower rate would be paid to the city.

The relocation would not only reduce expenses, but also help bring developers into the airport area, which is a prime location for future industry.
