ERATH COUNTY (April 5, 2017) – In the just over 10 years that the Stephenville 20th Century Club has been working in the community, they have donated approximately $50,000 to fine arts programs for children across the Cross Timber area through their annual Children’s Fine Arts Benefit and Silent Auction. This year is no different with the event slated for Thursday, April 6, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at City Hall at City Limits.

According to 20th Century Club Fine Arts Chair, Elaine Fields Smith, the designated recipients are Stephenville ISD dance programs, Huston Academy’s Visiting Artist Program, the Stephenville Public Library’s Children’s Reading Program, Foster’s Home for Children fine art scholarships and the Stephenville ISD’s Student Art Show.

Tickets are $10 pre-event from any club member, Huston Academy or Stephenville HS or $15 at the door. Live music from Sweet Memories – a barbershop quartet, Stephenville’s ‘Elvis’ and a DJ.

“Our goal for last year was $10,000 and thanks to the community’s assistance, we were able to meet that goal,” Smith said. “We hope to raise at least that much again this year. The more money we can raise, the bigger impact we can make in our community.”
