ERATH COUNTY (May 14, 2017) – There was a golf scramble held at Legends Country Club on Saturday to benefit the Habitat for Humanity of Erath County. All proceeds raised go to this wonderful organization.
According to Habitat for Humanity Board Member, Reeves Burdick, there were 8 teams consisting of approximately 50 golfers. Including raffle items and such, the tournament raised well over $4,000 for the wonderful cause. Reeves said the organization receives no federal or state funding, so they survive on fundraisers and donations. He also said approximately 18 or 19 homes have been built since this organization was established in Erath County.
