Janice “Jan” Pair passed away on May 14, 2017 at the age of 76 years. She was born in De Leon, Texas on January 3, 1941 to her parents, Herschell L. Hudson and Helen (Logston) Hudson.
Janice married Jerry Pair on June 15, 1958 in Dublin, Texas and together they raised two sons, Dan and Randy. Jan was a model wife; she always had a smile for everyone. Her gentle style and her joy of working with the children and staff at D.I.S. D. made her a favorite at the Dublin schools where she was a secretary and teachers aid for 25 years.
Jan was a faithful companion to Jerry and tireless in helping with their ranching interest and all the chores that went with it, while maintaining their home. She was a fabulous cook and enjoyed sharing recipes with her family and friends; her annual Christmas candy was something that all looked forward to.
She was always quick to get out recent photos from the grand (and great)-grandkids and sharing their latest activities.
Jan was preceded in death by her brother, Ronald Hudson, her parents, and her brother-in-law, Don Templeton.
She will be remembered by her husband – Jerry Pair; her sons and daughters-in-law – Dan & Susie Pair of Glen Rose, Texas and Randy & Becky Pair of Hawley, Texas; her grandchildren – Jeri McGuire and husband Clay McGuire, Jeff Pair and wife Leslie, Brady Pair, and Bayley Pair; her great-grandchildren – Jorja McGuire, Addison McGuire, Jill Tatum Pair, and John Stryker Pair; her sisters – Ann Templeton of Dublin, Texas and Kathy Bean of Hico, Texas; her brother – Don Hudson and wife Sylvia of Elgin, Texas; her sister-in-law – Barbara Hudson, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss her dearly.
In lieu of flowers donations or memorials will be appreciated on behalf of Janice Pair to Greens Creek United Methodist Church, P.O.Box 244, Dublin, TX or the Cow Creek Cemetery Association.
