STEPHENVILLE (September 29, 2017) — Stephenville and Graham are meeting in a battle of unbeatens featuring stellar offenses led by the state’s No. 5 and No. 12 rushers in any conference or association, at least among all schools reporting to Maxpreps.

Stephenville junior Krece Nowak is No. 5 on that list with 808 yards and Graham junior Chase Gilmore is No. 13 with 760. Both are versatile out of the backfield and often used as receivers, as well. Nowak should top 1,000 all-purpose yards early as he enters game five with 996.

Meanwhile, most area eyes not on Stephenville and Graham will either be taking in an all-state ranked District 10-2A Division I opener as No. 10 De Leon visits No. 9 Crawford, or celebrating Dublin’s homecoming against offensive Bosqueville.

In Stephenville and looking for a game without having to travel far? Don’t discount the quality of six-man ball the Stephenville FAITH Knights are putting on display of late. After crushing TAIAO Division I powerhouse San Antonio FEAST 66-20 last week, the Knights welcome TAPPS power Austin Veritas to Three Way ISD. FAITH as a chance to avenge both its losses from last season – FEAST and Veritas – over a two week span that would leave the Knights as the clear favorite to take any division of TAIAO come playoff time.

Or you could satisfy your six-man satisfaction about the same distance out of town but in the opposite direction and take in undefeated Zephyr’s visit to Lingeville.

It should be a fun night under the lights.

Here’s the lineup
All games beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Stephenville at Graham
Bosqueville at Dublin
De Leon at Crawford
Zephyr at Lingleville
Austin Veritas at Stephenville FAITH
(Hico is idle)
