Khaw climbs two spots in final round of NCAA West Regional

AMARILLO – Junie Khaw moved up two spots in the final round to finish tied for 32nd at the NCAA Division II West Regional Tournament at the Amarillo Country Club.

After the second round was postponed yesterday due to weather, Khaw finished seven holes from the second round today and played the final round to finish with a score of 232 (+19). Khaw had rounds of 78-79-75. Dallas Baptist won the regional title after carding a three-round total of 886 (+34) while Ann Parmerter won the individual title with a 214 (+1).

Khaw had 29 pars and four birdies in the 54-hole tournament. The sophomore shot +2 on Par 5s and +4 on Par 3s during the week.

The top three teams (Dallas Baptist, West Texas A&M and Cal State San Marcos) and top three individuals from non-qualifying teams advance to the NCAA Championships in Palm Beach, Florida on May 15-18.
