Jan Carroll Strong was born November 11, 1945 to Ballard Farmer Strong and Hazel Dare Strong.
Jan was the epitome of a STRONG woman!!! In her early teens she suffered seizures, which at the time
was not understood as a medical condition. When Jan delivered her 1st child, she experienced
temporary paralysis, at which time she was diagnosed with an aneurysm in the motor center of her
brain. Upon becoming pregnant with her 2nd child, Jan was advised by doctors at the Naval Base in
Lubbock, Tx to abort the pregnancy. Jan had a Strong faith in the Lord and chose to be Prolife before it
had a name. She proceeded with the pregnancy under the direction of Dr. B.C. Dayton and delivered a
healthy child in a small town hospital in Hico, Tx.

In the late 1970’s, Jan suffered a seizure that caused permanent paralysis to her right side. A decade
later, doctors at Scott & White hospital in Temple advised that the aneurysm Jan suffered from needed
to be removed to prolong her life. Jan endured an 8 + hour surgery, emerging with stroke like
symptoms. Being the STRONG woman that she was, Jan fought back and regained her mobility as she
had done numerous times in her life.

Jan continued to live the life that she was bestowed until Wednesday, July 27, 2022 when she fought her
last fight and gained the wings she so DESERVED!!!
