EASTLAND COUNTY (July 29, 2022) — Erath County Sheriff’s Department has made four arrests in connection to numerous burglaries and identity theft cases in the county today.

According to ECSO Captain Ben Moore, “The Erath County Sheriff’s Office investigators and SWAT team, along with the Ranger Police Department and Eastland County Sheriff’s Office, executed a search warrant in the 500 block of Mesquite Street in Ranger. The search yielded heroin, cocaine, methamphetamines and close to 100 stolen pieces of property.”

The team of area law enforcement were able to make four arrests in the case including Amanda Davis of Ranger, Micky Williams of Ranger, Nathan Johnson of Ranger and Alex Wilkerson of Midlothian. All four were booked into the Eastland County Jail on numerous charges.

Moore advised that investigators with the Erath County Sheriff’s Office had been working on several burglary and theft of identification cases when Amanda Davis was arrested in another jurisdiction for passing checks that were stolen in one of the Erath County burglaries.

After some further police work by investigators, the house in Ranger was identified and a warrant was written and granted to search the location. More evidence was located at the residence to aid with the Erath County cases, officials said. Moore added, all four of the arrestees are suspects in burglary, financial and identity theft cases currently being investigated by the ECSO.

Charges have been filed and more could be coming as the investigation continues, officials said.
