(June 27, 2015) — Studies show the number of Americans playing golf is in a steady decline, and that doesn’t sit well with the new brass at Legends Country Club in Stephenville.
New Legends owner Jack Graham has said since he took over the club that getting youth involved in golf would be one of his top priorities, and he’s backed it up. Legends has already hosted one junior golf camp, and more have been scheduled.
Camps at Legends for youth ages 5-18 are scheduled for July 14-16 and August 18-20, from 9-11 a.m. each day. Cost is $20 for members and $30 for nonmembers with hotdogs and awards from 11-11:30 a.m. on the final day of each camp.
Below are photos from the first camp, held earlier this month. The photos are courtesy Sarah Fulfer, a former Tarleton women’s golfer who is helping with the camps.
