Join the Stephenville Lions Club’s American Flag Placement Project today

STEPHENVILLE (January 25, 2016) — As Presidents Day quickly approaches, the Stephenville Lions Club members are get ready to place American flags in yards around the community.

This service costs $25 per year, and the flags get put up seven times each year. Club members place flags in yards for the following days: Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Flag Day, July 4th, Labor Day, 9/11, and Veterans Day. This service is only available to those living within Stephenville city limits.

All proceeds go to the Stephenville Lions Club and their various projects. The Lions Club provides free eye exams and glasses to children in the community and hosts the “All Star League,” a program that gives special needs children the opportunity to play baseball and soccer.

“[This project is] in memory of those who’ve been before us, those who defend us now, and what the flag means to this country,” Lions Club member Steve Patterson said.
