STEPHENVILLE (February5, 2016) — Citizens National Bank of Texas is coming to Stephenville, and local resident David Baskett has been named the Stephenville branch president.
Citizens National is moving into the old Citi Bank building across from H-E-B on West Washington Street. Baskett told The Flash Today that banking officials met at their new location on Friday to discuss remodel plans.
“We don’t have a specific target date in mind, but we are excited and are looking to open for business as soon as possible,” Baskett said.
Citi Bank left the location in 2014 and Citizens National purchased the property late last year, Baskett said. Citizens National is based out of Waxahachie.
Baskett has an extensive background in lending in mortgage, working recently at TexasBank and Lone Star Ag Credit and previously for Bank of America locally and and a mortgage company in Las Vegas, where he met his wife, Mailyn, a Farmers Insurance agent.
