(August 1, 2016) — Kaleb Driggers of Stephenville and partner Junior Nogueira are the new world leaders in team roping, jumping past Stephenville’s Luke Brown and Morgan Mill’s Jake Long, who remain number two.

That was just one of the big changes involving local athletes in the PRCA world standings following Cheyenne Frontier Days and other big rodeos last week.

Marty Yates is back in the top 15 in tie-down roping, and three other Stephenville athletes are also making a tie-down charge, while Dakota Kirchenschlager of Morgan Mill leaped into the top 10 in heeling.

Jacobs Crawley strengthened his hold on the top spot in saddle bronc riding, and his brother, Sterling Crawley, stayed on the inside looking out among National Finals Rodeo contenders.

Here is a look at local athletes in the top 50 of their respective events. In parenthesis is the dollar figure of the athlete currently at No. 15 for each event. The top 15 advance to the NFR after the regular season.
