Stephenville won the gold bracket consolation championship in the Eagle Mountain-Saginaw Varsity Invitational, and senior middle blocker Kourtney Seaton was named to the all-tournament team.
The Honeybees defeated 6A Cedar Hill 25-20, 25-18 in the consolation final Saturday morning, when Seaton tallied eight assists, six digs, five kills and an ace. Mikayla Hobbs aced five serves and had five kills.

The Honeybees (6-3) received contributions from up and down the lineup in their sixth victory against 5A or 6A competition. Kaleigh Conger had six kills, Chelsea Gillespie five assists and Kerstin Fredrickson four digs.
The Bees were in the consolation final because Weatherford defeated them in a Gold Bracket semifinal, 25-20, 25-20. Gillespie had 12 assists and three kills while Hobbs had seven kills, Conger five, Seaton three and Nicona Stilwell two. Seaton, Stilwell and Taylor Medlin each collected three digs.

The Bees host Abilene Cooper between 6 and 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, following a 5:30 p.m. junior varsity match at Gandy Gym.
