STEPHENVILLE (December 4, 2014) — Hailey Roberts became just the second Tarleton State volleyball player to ever earn All-American honors Tuesday when she was listed as a third-team selection by Daktronics.
And she’s only a freshman. The best freshman, in fact, in the Lone Star Conference Player of the Year.
Roberts is one of just two LSC players selected to the Daktronics All-American team after being named LSC freshman of the year then to the Daktronics All-South Central Region squad.
The Cedar Park product amassed 509 kills, third most in a season in school history, and was No. 9 in the nation with 4.24 kills per set. She was fourth nationally at 5.02 points per set, and finished in the top 10 in Tarleton single-season history with 1,223 total attacks and 60 service aces.
The three-time LSC Player of the Week helped the TexAnns to their first LSC Championship title, first appearance in the NCAA Division II Championship and first Division II playoff victory.
