The Dublin Lions didn’t really think about all the different perspectives and angles their actions could be viewed from, so they didn’t really ponder what kind of impact those actions were about to make.
When the Lions charged through their spirit sign and onto the field at Memorial Stadium for their homecoming victory over Bosqueville, every player carried an American Flag loaned out by the local Rotary Club.
So what were the varsity Lions thinking?
It’s the American Flag, if given the opportunity, why wouldn’t we carry it proudly?
Texas state representative Patrick Fallon of House District 106 serving Denton County has thought it through. He’s thought it through so far, in fact, that he says right now, for a brief period, the Dublin Lions, not the Dallas Cowboys, are America’s Team. If you missed our story Monday or haven’t seen the photo of the flags being carried by the Lions – taken by Russell Huffman of The Flash Today – check it out and we bet you will agree, it’s worthy of being the Jake & Dorothy’s Cafe Special Moment of the Week.
Remember – Jake & Dorothy’s Cafe has been making every day special since 1948.
